Farmington, MI Thursday, November 4th – Annette Compo, co-owner of Care By Design Market (CBDM), Fresh Water Cannabis Co. (FWCC) and Annette Compo Home Team at Keller Williams Advantage, was awarded the Greater Neighbor Award by the Greater Metropolitan Association of Realtors (GMAR). GMAR president, Katie Weaver, bestowed the award to Compo after being nominated amongst multiple candidates. Compo was considered to have made an extraordinary impact on their community through volunteer work over many years. She has been serving as one of Michigan’s top Realtors for the last 30 years and she has been officially honored for her dedication to her community.
Throughout her entrepreneurial career she has always made it a main focus to give back to the community no matter what venture she is engaged in. During her acceptance speech, Compo stated that “we are all ambassadors of our community, and when we all come from a place of contribution our communities brighten.” CBDM volunteers and fundraises for several local non-profit organizations in the Farmington area; FWCC’s mission is to give back to organizations helping preserve and care for our freshwater resources here in Michigan, while also engaging with the local community.
Annette was one of the founding members for CARES in Farmington Hills, a non-profit focused on providing food, clothing, job education and training, as well as access to other community and county support services, all in one location on their campus. She also served for two years as President of the Greater Farmington Area Chamber of Commerce, and actively supports Keller Williams programs KW Cares and KW Kids Can. She has also participated in Special Olympics, Missionary in Haiti, Child Abuse Council, Church/Youth Boards, and Jaycees.
